2005-01-23 [Flutterbi]: I know all of you are going to hate me for this but I am for and against abortion. It's very contrivercial to me. I support life and belive every one should get a chance at life. I also belive that killing a baby when it is fully grown inside a woman's belly is very very wrong. But I also think that if done soon enough (while the baby is still a fetus) and if done for the right reasons (rape) that abortion is ok. But it is only under those cercumstances.

2005-02-04 [RabidSphinx]: rape is a hard thing to deal with mentaly, but woman are stronger than we are given credit for, and *can* bare a child of rape, and even raise them...my friend is a "rape baby" and her mother loves her. some woman just *can't* raise the baby, money wise or just too painful, so they give them up....but i don't think abortion should be an option...this is the topic odf debate in the agree to disagree wiki...feel free to join the debate

2005-02-11 [RabidSphinx]: well, adoption is *very* difficult...you have to be background tested extensively, and you sometimes wait YEARS to get your baby. all precautions so that no child molester, or pedophile can get their hands on any children. yes, sometimes an adopted child will be abused, but not as often as a non adopted child sadly. adoption really is the better of the two options if a halfway decent adoption agency is used

2005-02-12 [RabidSphinx]: well, the problem with all that is it makes it hard to just go and adopt a baby and sometimes the orphanages get filled up faster than they can place them...that would be the only down side...but in all honesty, they are just trying to make sure the child has the best home

If you're well aware of the likely consequences of unprotected actions then you shouldn't make the unborn child the victim. I recommend the writings of Judith Jarvis Thomson on the issue of abortion. Very interesting moral philosophy for applied ethics.
